La Dimora di San Maurizio 3 (sleeps 4+2)
Presenting ‘Sublime Elegance in Sunset Colours’
A 2 bedroom (2 doubles & 1 double sofa bed) / 2 bathroom + 1 guest bathroom apartment
Boasting high-spec fittings and accoutrements and an ambience we know you’ll love…
Situated on the 3rd floor reached by lift and with a total of 6 tall arched windows to the fore overlooking the Campo towards the tipsily tilting bell tower of Santo Stefano – an exquisite apartment enrobed in sun-kissed Venetian spritz russets offset with pumice stone greys and comprising:
• A stylishly appointed sitting room with wooden beams overhead, wooden flooring topped with Kilim underfoot and luxuriously upholstered chairs and double sofa bed for lazy lounging with a view
• A fully fitted kitchen/dining room (also to the front of the apartment) with integrated appliances, a dining suite for 6 plus bar stool seating for 2 for keeping your nominated cook company at the stove
• The apartment’s delightful master bedroom – facing the Campo and home to a splendidly dressed double bed*, Oriental-style lanterns to either side, a built-in custom-made wardrobe, plus its own sparkling bathroom with twin wash hand basins and large shower
• A second double bedroom to the rear of the palazzo featuring another gorgeous double bed* (and again decked out in fine linens including cushions in Genevieve Gorder’s Art Deco style ‘Flock Onyx’ fabric), a separate walk-in dressing room to the side, plus a pristine en suite bathroom with a roll-top bathtub and separate shower which in turn leads to a south-facing balcony overlooking the rear of the palazzo.
(* Note that these double beds can be made into 2 singles upon request)
And completing the accommodation at the centre of the apartment -
• A guest bathroom (loo and wash hand basin only) with Lewis & Woods ‘Adam’s Eden’ wallpaper, mirror and soft lighting
Are you part of a larger group who’d like to stay close together but in separate apartments? We offer three other deluxe apartments within La Dimora di San Maurizio: Apartment 1 / 2 / 4
OUR COMMENT
A ‘Flagship’ VOV palazzo designed by architects ArchFlorence joining La Marchesa, Ca’ Dell’ Opera, Gondolieri… et al!
Occupying a superb central location with an upmarket vibe – not too busy, not too quiet, and pivotal to all the sights
Beside the ‘Mercatino San Maurizio’ Antiques Market held on certain dates throughout the year and a short stroll to the Accademia Galleries just across the Accademia Bridge, to 3 vaporetto (water-bus) stops – Accademia, Giglio and Sant’ Angelo – for easy travel about town, and to the traditional Traghetto at Santa Maria Del Giglio ferrying passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal to the laid-back and very beautiful Dorsoduro sestiere
***Please note that the operation of air conditioning and heating are subjected to the municipality regulation. Generally, the heating works from middle of October to middle of April, while air conditioning works between middle of Aprile to middle of October. Please contact us for further information.
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. Bedsheets that fit the large bed better. Extra pillows made up on bed. Be aware the washing machine and dryer is shared, this could be inconvenient depending on circumstances

Follow in the footsteps of 15-century Doge Francesco Molin at his former home – Palazzo Molin del Cuoridoro – in the San Marco sestiere. An exceptional example of a Venetian Gothic palazzo complete with coat of arms, Gothic Fiorito windows and two exquisite water doors*, the palazzo is now home to two meticulously restored VOV apartments with towering ceilings, designer furnishings, touch-control technology and terrazzo floors. Like an imperious grande dame commanding respect and adulation in the midst of all the action near La Fenice and St. Mark’s Square, this historic palazzo (listed for its importance by the Belle Arti**) provides an astonishing backdrop to: La Corte dei Cuoridoro 2 (sleeping 5) Situated on the 1st and 2nd floors of the palazzo reached by stairs and accessed via the palazzo’s water door or the Culti-decorated communal ‘androne’ hallway, the accommodation boasts Wi-Fi and air-conditioning*** and comprises: 2nd Floor A visually arresting and impressively proportioned main living space, home to a sitting/dining area furnished with a vast L-shaped sofa, a Knoll Saarinen dining table with contemporary metal wire chairs for 6 and a well-equipped kitchenette Taking centre stage in this magnificent room hangs a splendid floor-to-ceiling wall mural depicting the Campanile and Doge’s Palace lit by a Mariano Fortuny-style black tripod floor lamp… while a pair of half-glazed doors flanked by whimsical striped ‘pali da casada’ poles in miniature open onto stand-on balconies offering breathtaking views over the Rio dei Barcoroli canal below At the entrance to the apartment there’s a small room with combined washing machine/dryer, and on the apartment’s lower level reached by stairs… 1st Floor A spacious and elegant principal bedroom with a double bed, restored timbers overhead, a large Persian rug giving warmth underfoot, a wall-length mirror-fronted wardrobe, a pair of half-glazed doors opening onto Juliet balconies overlooking the canal to the front of the palazzo and a modern en suite bathroom with shower The stylish 2nd double bedroom with a double bed, ample wardrobe space, a pair of half-glazed doors opening onto Juliet balconies overlooking the canal, and a doorway leading directly into a… 3rd studio/bedroom with a single fold-out bed - an exquisite little space lit from the outside by the top portion of one of Palazzo’s Cuoridoro’s pretty Gothic water doors and with its own en suite bathroom in marble with shower And completing the apartment’s memorable accommodation – a separate luxury bathroom in marble with bathtub and a fabulous stone wall plaque depicting the Winged Lion of St. Mark! * Perfect for stylish and convenient arrivals/departures by private water taxi ** The Heritage Authorities PLEASE NOTE that Palazzo Molin del Cuoridoro’s communal ‘androne’ hallway and courtyard garden are only available for use by residents of the palazzo and, as such, are unavailable to guests of La Corte dei Cuoridoro 2 (also kindly note that picnics, dining and sunbathing are not permitted in these areas :) Are you part of a larger group who’d like to stay close together but in separate apartments? We offer another apartment in this fabulous palazzo: La Corte dei Cuoridoro 1 (sleeping 4) OUR COMMENT A luxury palazzo apartment exuding charisma, with world-famous attractions waiting to greet you at every turn. Moments to all the must-see sights of/near Piazza San Marco including the towering Campanile, the Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Clock Tower (Torre dell’ Orologio), Harry’s Bar, Caffé Florian (300 years old this year!), not forgetting the incredibly charming hidden Scala Contarini del Bovolo and the gondola station at Bacino Orseolo. Close to some of Venice’s finest luxury boutiques, 3 well-stocked supermarkets (plus one very closeby specialising in organic foods), a local wine shop just off Campo Santo Stefano, countless bars and restaurants (including Ristorante Da Ivo – often in the press!), along with one of Venice’s most famous coffee and pastry shops – Marchini Time. Within a short walk of 3 vaporetto (water bus) stops – Rialto, San Marco Vallaresso and Sant’Angelo for easy movement around the city - and to the traghetto gondola ferry at Sant’ Angelo/Garzoni crossing the Grand Canal to San Toma in labyrinthine district of San Polo. An easy amble across the iconic Rialto Bridge to the Rialto Market (food shopping heaven!) Also within a short stroll of the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art and the Accademia Bridge. ***Please note that the operation of air conditioning and heating are subjected to the municipality regulation. Generally, the heating works from middle of October to middle of April, while air conditioning works between middle of Aprile to middle of October. Corte Rubbi 1 has been listed as one of "The 12 best Airbnbs in Venice" by Time Out, nov 2024 An ancient canal-side palace within minutes of St. Mark’s Square. Hidden away on its landside within the secret courtyard ‘Corte Rubbi’ on the Castello/San Marco border, this once forgotten building has been magically transformed by restorers with vision and interior design savoir-faire. Standing at the gondola-busy T-junction of the San Zulian and Bareteri canals, and encapsulating 10 dazzling apartments of varying colourway and size, the newly launched Corte Rubbi is but a stroll to some of Venice’s most iconic attractions and countless beguiling vistas on which to feast your eyes! Easy to find (when you know the way!) from the shop-lined Campo San Bartolomeo and Salizada San Lio on one of Venice’s canal-encircled ‘islands within an island’, these imaginatively furnished apartments offer Wi-Fi and a communal laundry room and are spread across 5 floors with all upper floors reached by stairs. Highly contemporary in style, air-conditioned** throughout and ranging from a charming studio for 4 to a fabulous penthouse with rooftop terrace, Corte Rubbi Il Palazzo’s 10 apartments sleep up to 42 guests if booked exclusively and include: Corte Rubbi 1 – Ground Floor – sleeping 4 (+1) A fabulous 2-bedroomed apartment promising a true canal-side experience and sleeping up to 5 guests in ultra-characterful surroundings. Elegant and stylish, its accommodation comprises: A striking main living / dining / kitchenette space featuring low-lit exposed brickwork, Venetian terrazzo flooring, warm wooden beams overhead and furnished with a well-equipped kitchenette suitable for light cooking, a dining suite for 6, and a sofa-bed looking out (through the palazzo’s water-door* flanked by columns) to the gondola-plied T-junction of the San Zulian and Bareteri canals, with the Ponte dei Bareteri Bridge crossing the water just beyond! A cosy and characterful room with great personality A spacious and attractive double bedroom with double bed and 2 windows facing the Rio de San Zulian canal A smart separate marble bathroom with shower A restful 2nd double bedroom to the rear of the apartment with a double bed and a smart en suite marble bathroom with small bathtub and shower over Are you part of a larger group who’d like to stay close together but in separate apartments? We offer 9 other apartments within this palazzo: Corte Rubbi 3, Corte Rubbi 5, Corte Rubbi 6, Corte Rubbi 7, Corte Rubbi 8, Corte Rubbi 9, Corte Rubbi 10, Corte Rubbi 11, Corte Rubbi 5514 OUR COMMENT An utterly charming apartment with eye-level canal views - in a vibrant, central and endlessly fascinating part of town. A few steps away from the 18th-century church of Santa Maria Della Fava and close to a host of famous sights and attractions including the atmospheric Venetian time-capsule that is the Querini Stampalia, the fabulous Palazzo Grimani just off Campo Santa Maria Formosa, the Church of San Zaccaria with its crypt and wonderful Bellini altarpiece, and Vivaldi’s La Pietà on the sunny Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront… … A short stroll towards a very sedate pace of life lived out amongst the tranquil calles, canals and green spaces of Castello with its laid-back and very genuine neighbourhood vibe… … Or rise with the lark to embrace the atmosphere of St. Mark’s Square (‘the Piazza’) gloriously near-empty before its visitors arrive… or visit at night when the orchestras of Quadri and Florian play*, the bells of the Campanile (bell tower) toll, the marble of the Doge’s Palace glows, and the mosaics of the Basilica shimmer in the darkness… Close to a host of shops, restaurants and bars including the much-lauded Alle Testiere, the upmarket Bistrot de Venise and Alle Corone of the nearby Hotel Reali, the charming Osteria Al Portego (delicious cicheti!) and Osteria Ae Sconte, plus Ristorante Santa Maria Formosa with its tables on the campo. Also within easy reach of 4 well-stocked supermarkets – a Despar at Calle al Ponte de la Guerra, a COOP at Salizada San Lio, and a COOP and a Despar on the Riva del Carbon (near the Rialto Bridge), along with a ‘Vino Sfuso’ (wine on tap) shop on Calle del Mondo Novo and a greengrocer’s stand at Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Within a short stroll of the vaporetto (water bus) stop at Rialto for exploring the city, the ‘Traghetto’ gondola ferry carrying passengers across the Grand Canal between the Riva Del Carbon and San Silvestro in the San Polo district and the vaporetto (water bus) stop at San Zaccaria for trips around town, visits to the Lido beaches and to the Biennale Pavilions at Arsenale and Giardini. *Note that performances are dependent on weather and season **Please note that the operation of air conditioning and heating are subjected to the municipality regulation.
